ITINERARIES
Please note that the itineraries are flexible and will depend on local conditions: travelling in Africa is sometimes unpredictable.
By the very nature of travelling in remote areas there are unforeseen challenges to be overcome and passengers should have a
taste for adventure. Unforeseen circumstances, due to problems with road conditions, weather, mechanical breakdowns or
accidents can delay and change the smooth running of a tour. Please come prepared.
CLIMATIC CONDITIONS
The winter nights in Southern Africa (May to September) are very cold with pleasant days. A warm set of clothing and a warm
sleeping bag are essential for this time of year. Summer days can reach very high temperatures, so good sun protection is
required.
PERSONAL EFFECTS
Travel light with light, casual clothing for the day and a jersey or tracksuit for the evenings. Take a good pair of walking shoes
with good ankle support. Do not forget a torch, water bottle, swim suit, hat, suntan lotion, camera and spare film. Allow enough
money for souvenirs, meals not included, drinks, special activities and personal expenses. A full kit list for your trip will be
issued.
A warm sleeping bag is essential in winter (May to September).
Any equipment, which is lost or rendered unserviceable through negligence of the client, will be replaced at the client’s expense.
Clients will have to carry their own rucksacks and share of communal equipment, unless porters are being used. Then clients
will be required to carry their own clothes, lunch, snacks and drinks.
TRAVEL DOCUMENTS
You may require a valid passport depending on your trip. Please check with your local consulate or travel agent as to visa,
passport and health requirements. It is your responsibility to ensure that your passport, visas and vaccination certificates are all
in order before departure. We cannot be held responsible for any passenger being refused entry for any reason whatsoever.
HEALTH
You must be in good health to undertake any trip. We visit remote areas with little or no medical facilities. Your guide should be
informed of any existing medical conditions you may have as well as possible hereditary problems. Precautions against malaria,
yellowfever and cholera should be taken for the prescribed areas.
INSURANCE
Comprehensive travel insurance covering cancellation, curtailment, medical, emergency travel and personal accident is
compulsory. The client is aware that it is his/her responsibility to take insurance. The clients will effect personal insurance and
be satisfied that their insurance fully covers their personal requirements. Please not that credit card travel insurance is
inadequate.
COMPLAINTS
Should a participant have a complaint whilst on tour, he/she must inform the tour leader or our office in order that an attempt
can be made to rectify the matter. Should the matter not be rectified whilst on tour, the client should write to Wildways
Adventures as soon as possible, as the complaint must be received by Wildways Adventures within 30 days of completion of
the tour, so that it can be investigated. Claims will not be considered outside that time. Wildways Adventures will not entertain
complaints due to "Loss of Enjoyment" where full land arrangements have been provided.
DRIVING DISTANCES
All our tours aim to show you as many highlights as possible within a relatively short time. Some tours cover greater distances
than others do, so be prepared for some long travelling days.

plans, or logistical arrangements on the basis of safety or any other justifiable reason and this will not be deemed to be breach
of contract.
