We operate safaris for the adventurous and young at heart, specialising in small group participation camping and cabin tours throughout Southern Africa. We offer travel experiences full of incredible wildlife viewing, adventure, scenic beauty and cultural interaction. We pride ourselves in creating holidays of a lifetime.
Fourteen years ago Bruce and Shaun started with a minibus, one itinerary and a dream. Today we are a team over 30 staff and operate wide range of itineraries covering 9 countries, a fleet of customized safari trucks and the experience to create your dream holiday. |

Our itineraries have been perfected over the years of touring Southern Africa - with an emphasis on "getting out and doing things". We offer several easy to moderate walks, mokoro and canoe trails, game drives, swimming and other activities throughout the various tours.
We are an African company, all management and employees are African and we use many local operators and guides throughout our tours for game drives, walks and historical interest. Our style provides you with a unique in-depth experience whether you are a first time traveller or veteran explorer.

Sunway aims to provide an authentic African experience by choosing accommodation that is scenic, that provide contrasting experiences in various landscapes, that enable you to experience the bush and its sounds at night while preparing a “home cooked” meal and that encourage interaction between people in the group who are usually from a wide range of countries.
Small & personalised groups
Being part of a small group of a maximum of 12 people means you are not part of the herd but rather an important client. This has been a key factor in our continued success. Small groups means no wasted time waiting for a large group to get moving and you have a better quality time with our guides. |

Knowledgeable and enthusiastic tour leaders
All Sunway Safaris guides are born in Africa and are professional, highly trained and registered with the Field Guides Association of Southern Africa (FGASA). They have extensive knowledge of geology, culture, history, and fauna and flora of the African bush. Their enthusiasm for their home region will ensure that your safari is enjoyable, informative, safe and successful.
Is a Sunway Safari for you?
Sunway groups are international and we are represented in more than 20 countries throughout the world. Although the trips have diverse range of clients they all share a love of adventure, discovery and wildlife! |
Travelling alone?….no problem. About half of all Sunway clients book as individuals. We organise for you to share a tent and should you end up having a tent to yourself there is no single supplement. On cabin safaris single supplements will apply unless you request to share and we have another single person wanting to share.
Travelling in Africa – bring a sense of adventure!
To travel in Africa and enjoy it you need a relaxed attitude. The clock in Africa runs much more slowly than in your own country and sometimes even stops! Things happen that you may not expect, so flexibility, patience and a sense of humour are essential. Although we prepare the trips carefully and due to the

nature of the tour we are sometimes forced to make occasional adjustments to the route. There are some long travelling days, some short ones and at the most interesting places, a few nights at the same camp to allow us to explore the area. |
